| I also understand from Archery UK that you need 6 months on the Disclosure before your renewal will be processed. Does GNAS office have all the details that will allow a smooth renewal? BillM

| All GNAS CRB work is handled by Anne Rook AFAIK. Talk to Anne if you have any doubts or questions. To pick up the photocopy question, dont bother as it is irrelevant, what matters is the disclosure that GNAS recieve direct as the registered body which may, in the case of an enhanced disclosure application, be more than the applicant gets on their copy. For the same reason disclosures are not transferable. To pick upon the "6 months on the disclosure" please dont think that means that disclosures have a valid period, like MOT Certificates they are out of date the instant they are printed. What I think was intended was a "heads up" that the disclosure application process could take upto 6 months (it should not) and your renewal will not be finalised until it comes back and Anne has determined your suitability based on that disclosure. Hence apply early and minimize the risk of your existing coach period expiring before the renewal takes place. |

| Barndoor - sorry we're probably confusing folks a little here, but disclosure for Scottish folks are done under CRB-Scotland and GNAS don't handle those, so I believe Anne Rook will get a phone call from a designated person in Scotland to say whether someone has been cleared or not. Scotland has a different "List" from those in England, and its against the law in Scotland to employ somone on the Scottish list. I should say that both England and Scotland search the UK criminal database - thankfully something is unified ![]()

AFAIK repeated checking was never the intention of CRB or CRB(S) and so their documentation does not cover it. Their standpoint on int tends to vary depending on who asks the question of them and where. Quote:
