almost sounds as if you have control over the useless female look! :P

Similar to others

hold one limb at arms length, other limb resting on the ground near your feet, with the string side on top. press down on the riser with one knee (leg bent a bit)

a bit less of a fiddle than step through and less likely to end in people pointing and laughing as you end up tied up in the bow or your foot gets caught as you step out.

my coach who is in a wheel chair puts the riser at the back of his neck and pushes the limbs forward for someone to put the string on

i was using the "push pull" method to string a 70lb longbow my hand slipped and the last thing i remember was the upper limb speeding towards my forehead.....and when i came to was handed a stringer by a rather helpful fellow archer, who looked as if they had done quite a bit of laughing!!
