| Try using a compound bow press for a recurve? overkill but VERY safe Open the boot of your car, push down on the riser into the boot space, the limbs will bend and hey presto it can be strung! :grin: |
| |||||
| I pi---sd myself laughing at that one. Good one |
| |||||
| Fit the stringer and rest it across the boss stand arms, step onto the riser and then the stringer will pull in the arms, may be iffy for a small junior! |

| I will resist the 2 car towing hitch method!! |

| Pass the set up to your mate and ask him if they can hear a creaking noise as the bow is strung |

| Maybe i have too much time at work to think of these! Have the string on the limbs as normal, put a folded sock on the static end and hook it around a door frame (saves damage to the frame and bow). open the door enough to fit the grip, then a lot of pushing on the 'loose end' limb will get you enough slack to fit the string into the limb cutouts. Now very carefully release the pressure. The hard bit is as the string strightens up around the door! easier with 24# limbs |

| Saw a couple more on the FITA website. They used a looped piece of string, which you put ove the handle of the bow and stand in the loops (a one or two foot version of the method). Then you pull up on one limb (the other pushes against the ground) to string/unstring the bow... |
