yes, me too as england gents recurve - I'm just glad it's not a grey suit as I was originally told and I'm prewarned to watch out for the military types from hants who are also going as I think they'd have a somewhat greater handle on alcohol than me.

Great - I'll see you all there then, though the Scottish Team won't be there for practice as the journey down is too long. I've ironed my blouse for its once a year outing (it'll be creased though on the night) and now I've got to work out how to pack a kilt into a rucksack and have it arrive with the pleats intact.

I don't know its daggers at dawn and all we seem worried about is our sartorial elegance at the dinner on Saturday night - what impression are us honed athletes giving!!

BTW - its looking like it'll be sunny and calm - how will we all cope

Any more?

How did everyone get on over the weekend? Was the weather behaving itself or was it typically Welsh with lots of rain?

Saturday the wind got "challenging" just after the first two dozen - we were shooting in valley and the wind just blew on through. Otherwise it was bright and sunny most of the day

Wales won the Small Nations Trophy. Andy Ward from Scotland was 1st Compound Gent, Sheila Harris (England) 1st Compound Lady, English Gent(Doh - name? Sorry?) 1st Recurve, and Lana Needham (Scotland) 1st Recurve Lady.

Scotland also won Gents Compound team, and Ladies Recurve - England won everything else IIRC

On Sunday it took a lot longer for the wind to arrive but made up for it by raining quite heavily at the second distance.

I met big-bloke-with-a-stylist who shot very well and got a medal - 3rd over all over both days(?) Also met moo-pop and Big Bird. (I've a suspicion chelle might have got a medal) Sorry sarahjrd - I probably had dinner with you last night and didn't know.
