Very bright start to the national clout champs - a bit too bright in fact. The combination of low sun and reflective dewy grass meant that the gents couldn't see their flags. Eventually sorted out, we started whanging 'em.

A good day on what was probably the last national clout at Harrogate - the record number of archers, 121, was more than the field could really handle. Sunny, clear, blimmin' cold at times. Very friendly and relaxed too.

I was crap - my first 18 missed and I didn't improve much beyond that. A risible 88 for the double. Blanked in the raffle too so I got nowt - apart from some compromising pics:

I'll put a gallery of photos on the Yorkshire website on Monday, not going to get a chance over the weekend.

Just come home from a brilliant day in Harrogate. Loved it ! I came away with a new pb .... the grand total of 51 for the double, but hey ... last year I got 13 at Harrogate and 17 at Castle Fraser, so as far as I'm concerned whilst it may pale into complete insignificance against most of the archers there, it's nothing short of a miracle for me !!!

Fantastic to see so many archers supporting the event, and thanks to everyone for making it such a good enjoyable day out !

And a big thanks to my Guru for taking me and keeping my spirits up (as usual!) and to Cherry for her great company.

Me too - a miserable 75 on the double - first 18 again were zilch. The boy however zoomed away and qualified for his Black Tassel. Beat Tim on the raffle and snagged the whisky - Famous Grouse quite drinkable for a blend.

Yes, Trunkles snatched the prime booze yet again.

I've put some photos on the YAA website:
