Sounds cool... but I guess Europe would be the initial target as a get away at the back end of the year

Try looking on FITA web page given over to "calender",
here you will be able to choose which type, ie field ,target etc... and status of the event, but not whether you can shoot all carbon arrows or not!!!!!

hope this helps.

You might struggle with europe. When we were in france at end of sept we were told the french outdoor season finishes in June/July. Also they don't shoot full Fita rounds just Fita 70's!!

Hi Jo

French clubs do hold some FITA star events please see the following link, the season does end early though as you stated.

http://www.archerscatalans.info/file..._EXTERIEUR.pdf

And check out the following date.

20/4/08

The full calander for Languadoc is not yet available but normally if memory serves me right there are at least 3 and each region will probably be the same

LMP if you go to the National governing body for each country you can then normally link to local clubs in the area and find what tornaments they are holding.
I am doing this at present for N.Spain near Barcelona as well as Languadoc region of France.
I also do Know of more Fita star events in 2008 in France but have not got the info to hand this minute.

i shoot at and can thoroughly recomend the all irish open (dublin) and olgiate in italy most years and have shot in amsterdam and germany all in september. After that and you have to go to australia or south africa to shoot in october onwards. or shoot at one of the indoor full fitas in norway or belgium february and march respectiveley for something a bit different.

@speed

Sorry to announce this but there will be only a very few FITA STAR 1440 in France in 2008. FFTA has based everything on FITA 2x70m for years now, and only a few Clubs are courageous enough to organize a shoot that will not be taken in account for our national ranking.

Here is the link started on integralsport and all our FITA STAR 1440 are already listed there : FITA STAR où êtes-vous en 2008 ?...

Lattes : Languedoc (near Montpellier)
Le Port : Reunion (Indian Ocean)
Soisy sur Seine : Ile de France (Paris region)
Lille : North East
Cannes-Mandelieu : Côte d'Azur, South East

Perhaps see you in Lattes!

Thanks for the info I already new about the Lattes : Languedoc shoot.

Do you know of any Fita 70m in your area around early May or early June ?

Already now about the Carcassonne on the 4th May
and
Beziers and Narbonne as well

Just got to improve my French enough to sort out entry to them.
Thanks.
