They did when I was there. A bit cold and only wide enough for 2 or 3 archers but ok to try out kit etc.

Simon

(I think I'm going to rely on a map book this year!!)

Put 52.751367, -2.362844 into your Tom Tom or SatNav and this will take you to the main gate at the start of the long drive (If your SatNav has East and West then enter 2.362844 as West rather than - ) The gate is on a small road accessed from the A41 or A518 and is the easiest way to get in.

The entrance is signed and follow the road to the very end, straight for about 3 miles and bear left at the end towards the main car park on the left. You will see Wenlock hall in front of you at the other side of the car park.

I see the Army Society are scrapping the bottom of the barrel.......NOT The RAF and Navy Societies will struggle. Good job I'm in the RAF Service team.

Anybody know why the Army haven't put in a Service team? (excluding the current World tour we all seem to be involved with).

I think most are taking part in the Camp Bastion open FITA. I believe the local team are using RPG's

We are shooting on the same boss Rhodri and my fellow Westie Jonathan is on the next boss. Lets hope we don't have the same problem of people resetting up for the H2H and blocking the isles with their bows etc. Im not going to be as polite this year. I girl archer and 7 family members setting up right on the equipment line with a dozen to go.

And err it is a nice track isn't it but I had a lot of ground clearance so it wasn't so bad!

True enough, the away team use air strikes in the H2H

As long as it comes from Crab Air and not the Tommy Tanks or no doubt there will be an unfortunate FF incident with the judges being accidentally blown up

I'm trying to avoid the grief I suffered the last (and only time) I visited Lilleshall 2 years ago.

Assuming I'm coming from the A41 (heading north), there appear (using google maps and the satellite view) to be two choices.

1)

Leave the A41, turning left onto Kings St, this turns into Stump Lane, then left and right into Lillyhurst Rd, and finally turn right up Sheriffhales Dr which takes me into the sports complex.

2)

Go further north on the A41, turn left onto Pitchcroft Lane, follow this along and then take a left onto an unsigned road (just before Littlehales Rd) that takes me into the sports complex.

I think option 2 is how I went home last time.

I've found how I arrived on the track that wasn't a road and I *REALLY* don't want a repeat of that experience this year.

Thanks,

Simon

Option 2! or instead of turning into Pitchcroft Lane, follow the road for a bit, and then turn left into Lilleshall main drive. Follow the signs to the National Sports Centre
