Absolutley....

and maybe she will find time to cheer on the mens compound too...

Mens recurve.. oh well these things happen from time to time- just ask the Korean team how they might be feeling at the moment, not many folk would have predicted that result!

when the ladies beat the Koreans tomorrow what a boost that will be and what better timing.

Alsion may not have any voice left after cheering the girls as I think they are scheduled before the men. The mens compound team will be one of the more interesting matches, I just hope it comes on youtube. Personally as well as our own we will be hoping Trillius takes Bronze.

I read this post with an eye to one earlier in the week.
Trevor: do you want to be absoluteley and utterley effusive for the three girls who have shot in the team round?
I think that as you have already commented on the class of the scores shot by these three you should concentrate on the team shooting rather than on those not
I am sure that the very best team will be fielded at the Europeans but how good for the team as a whole that these three have proved they can be internationally competitive!
Some might say that it was an inspired piece of selection in a "safe" scenario to remove some of the stress of the tremendously succesfull ladies team of the last few world cup matches and show that the 4th member has a future in world class archery?
Just my opinion of course

A very interesting post Alistair.... I'm not quite sure how I should respond as I don't want to be accused again of criticising any archer or group of archers.

All I will say is that I could not be more pleased if ALL our archers came back with a medal at every tournament they entered. I think I am on of a relatively small group who follow the events a live as possible and it gives me a buzz when I see how well we can do.

Do I retract my comments of the earlier thread you eluded to? Not in terms of why Alison Williamson wasn't chosen I won't, and the reason I won't is probably best kept for a pm to you or again I will be lambasted for daring to have the nerve to make criticism of any archers performance.

The apology I made at the end of the other thread was also genuine and I stand by what I said in that apology. I should have been more sensitive about the way I posted and I certainly have no intention of causing personal offence to anyone.

The AIUK members reading this may not have the benefit of all of the information you do, perhaps you should declare your interest! If you wish to bring it into the public domain then do so, but I don't want to be accused again of writing anything 'negative' about any of our archers.

great results, just a shame the FITA live system seems to be unpredictable as it showed our miss as an 8 on the score at the side of the graphic.
