What a shocking two days... yesterday was windy to very windy. Pretty variable too. Today was, well, worse!

The near gale force winds and driving rain over lunch made me decide to stop for the day as I wasn't achieving anything by staying. Looks from here (the window of my B&B) like it dried up a bit and perhaps calmed down, but I think I made the right decision, especially when I saw that the wind had actually split two of the poles in our tent down the middle!

Good luck to those who stayed the course. At the end of yesterday LMP was in the lead of the Ladies Compound... here's hoping she can keep the pressure on.

Murray, or anyone else online at Lilleshall.
Just wondering what the camping field is like, has it stood up to the rain?

Yep, camping field is fine. The rain has been very heavy at times, but thankfully not constant so no issues with drainage!

Well, after Murray left the field of battle Morphy Mick continued unaccompanied on target 13. He asked me to score for him and claimed an "all gold end" NOT! Finally, when the boss on target 19 blew down, Ted abandoned the second York after the first 1.5 doz at 80 yds. We completed the York on Friday morning with far more zephyr like winds. abandoning the Long National.
