70 Metre (x2)

Hi,
Eccles Archery Club are holding two session 70 metre (720) shoot on the May 28th.

Next year the plan is to go for record status, possibly WRS...

I would be there if it was WRS. Better still would be a 720 and head to heads. It is a pain finding enough H to Hs in the north without travelling Lilleshall, Penicuik or Oxford

Hopefully Savile will be adding H2H next year geoff.

Hi,

The plan is to go for record status next year.

I have made enquiries about doing a H2H, but I have been told that when knocked out, everyone goes home and at the end the shoot is empty!

(This rather put me off, as organiser, but I am open to suggestions.)

H2H was devised for T.V. where is the T.V. at our H2H's? I'd never do one .I pay for a double shoot, I want to shoot a double shoot!

It might have originally been for TV. I find it adds another dimension to archery...when else to you get to shoot direct against an opponent. It also gives you the opportunity to shoot against the creme de la creme. Last year I was knocked out by some exceptional archers (e.g. Chris White). This year with 12 arrow passes instead of 18 it could give the underdog more of a chance.

Of course, if you beleive that you will get knocked out straight away then you probably will

i am going to watch. having only just joined and only been outside one time unlikely can shoot 70m in 2 months. unless everyone thinks i can??
