A Grand Day out!

Well, it is 9.30 in Devon and the sun is splitting the rocks. Those that are doing the Longbow at Grand Day have got a beauty. But I'm sure that by 2.00 pm the land will have heated and those sea breezes will be a blowing and those that will be shootin' the National will get wind burn. But I'm off to a car boot sale first, drop off some trophies won last year then to B+Q for potting compost and chippings then to Staples for envelopes then back for a kip.
Old Bloke picks his bow up again this week!!!!

Weren't they just! The shooting? I'd had too good a day Saturday - it had to go downhill!
Mrs.tel & I came away with visitors firsts though, which can only mean we were the only ones from outside DCAS Still, first of the year and all that....
Weather took a turn for the worse later on, but didn't spoil it. All in all a good first trip down that way - nice folk, well organised - we'll definitely be heading down again.

The weather did turn a bit mid afternoon.

The longbow archers in the morning was bathed in sunshine.

The cakes were great too.

My sincere apologies but I didn't realise there'd be quite so many people and I couldn't for the life of me remember who I was supposed to say hello to

I did meet Glenn though but didn't realise it was him until I got home last night.

I've never been known for having a good memory.
