Anyone shoot the H2H at Evesham today...

Oh what fun you must have all had splashing about in the mud and water.

Still speaking to a few of the archers everyone enjoyed it despite the weather.

It was very, VERY muddy!
Nice group of people though, all surprisingly chipper still, despite the wind, rain, mud and general nastiness. I even went through a huge hail squall on the way home, just to make things complete.

Thumbs up

Yep, that was the muddiest field I've seen since Timperley last year, fun shoot though and I'll be back next year.

It was a good shoot, despite the rain, wind and mud. First the first 3 dozen it was nice and calm, if very wet, but then got progressively wetter, windier and dirtier as the day progressed.

Managed to keep me and most of my kit relatively mud-free until the very end when the wind blew over my tripod, which knocked over my bow, and the whole lot ended up in a mud wallow.

At least it wasn't cold too.

Adam

They guy with the broken d-loop looked like he got a right thump on the chin, it broke at almost full draw didn't it. The arrow was not too good when found I heard.

If I'd been practicing enough recently, I'd have gone along. Sounds like I saved myself a soaking.

What were the results?

Gents Recurve:
1st: Grant Womack
2nd: Tim Mundon
3rd: Edward Spouge

As Micky pointed out, it became a round of luck, rather than real talent for shooting in the wind. In my final 12 arrows, I probably drew around 30 times, but just couldn't get the shots off due to the wind. A lot of people ended up shooting right on the whistle just so they wouldn't get a miss... I know I shot a few blues that I'd rather I hadn't.
