I've been several times and it's a great week. You will really enjoy yourself and it's a beautiful setting. I'm jealous but have other palns this year.

The organisers reckon that it's nearly always hot so take plenty of sun tan lotion and insect repellant for the field shoot. The mosi's will try and mug you in the woods! I hope the field shot is still there where you have to stand in the stream.

Hope to be there next year

I was originally booked in, but a shoulder injury has put me out of archery for 8-12 weeks, and I've had to withdraw my entry.

It's a crying shame, as it's a fantastic week (and not that far for me to go for a change), and the Castle grounds are fantastic... Thoroughly recommend it to anyone who fancies a week away.

I've never managed to coordinate my diary sufficiently BUT I look forward to a time when I can get up to Skye. Everyone raves about it (apart from the rain and the midges )...

One of these years!

The organisers once said to me that they only had rain once or twice in the 20+ years of running the week, though I think the midges get bigger each year

As part of the organising team I WILL be there and yes bring boots for the field course. Karen always puts the front peg of the bunny in the stream.
It will feel a little strange this year though without the late Frank Hughes judging.
I am sure he will be watching from on high.
