the team events are a great idea and we should do more throughout the year as if you look at the international results over the last couple of year at Grand Prix events and the current World Cup as a nation we have done quite well.
Our county DCAS we train for these at each squad session we have, team and individual H2H. Reason for this is obvious as this is the format at the olympics. They are great fun and really do bring out the best in us all.
More needed but where in the calendar can we fit them in!!!

On the note about picking your own team, yes and no in my case..
Yes..as you will know your own teamates and the way they shoot etc..
No.. as like people have said if the elite squad where to shoot togehter maybe put off lesser archers to attend..but would be great experience to shoot against them.. and maybe win..
One of my club mates shot at the premier before the 2004 olympics and lost in the final against Alison, Naomi and Helen Palmer before they went to Greece and almost won.. Since that event our club has achieved a premier event in August because he enjoyed the experience that much wanted to host a H2H..
