Thumbs up Indoor Postal over winter

I don't know about you but when winter comes around there is little to get excited about so our club in N Ireland has decided to hold an indoor postal.
It was first for the club, then for clubs in N. Ireland and then in a moment of weakness we though, why not let everyone in the UK join in.
It pretty easy, rules are as follows:

A postal shoot held in the months of December, January and February.
Seniors
Compound Unlimited to shoot a Vegas
Compound Limited, Compound Barebow, Recurve (Freestyle), Recurve Barebow, & Trad to shoot a FITA 18
Longbow to shoot a Portsmouth (10 zone)

Juniors (15 to 18yrs) All styles to shoot a Portsmouth (10 zone)

Cubs (under 15yrs) All styles to shoot a 60cm 10 zone face at 10m

Each competitor to send his/her best independently authenticated result to the Secretary of Lough Cuan Bowmen by the 14th of the month following, i.e. Decembers score by the 14th Jan.

This encompasses all styles to appeal to Target and Field archers alike. The results from any separate competition will be regarded as a bona fide result and can be put forward if shot within the month in question, so BL-BS archers shooting the BL-BS Postal can put their results into our postal as well (which will require two score sheets – Imperial for BL-BS and Metric for Lough Cuan) for example, so that this will not interfere with other competitions. Results will be posted monthly on the internet. A medal will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd where the entry numbers dictate (no trophies as this will be a postal) for the highest scores in each category.

More details will be avalaible on www.sixgolds.co.uk

We have previously tries this through IFAA, and there was a good bit of competition.
Also if you don't return true scores you're only cheating yourself.

So if you want to give it a go drop me a mail.

BA postal

Does anyone know how to enter the BA postal league, and i believe there is also a Northern Counties one. I've found lots of references to them online but cant find any contact details or how to enter. Our club is desperate to enter something but dont know where to find them!

Why does everyone rave about the BA Postal league?

The little contact I have had with it was dreadful and I wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemies dead dog's dad!(but that is just my opinion you understand)

Considering the high price charged per team, the results are constantly like 3 months late. Its like someone is making a huge profit, but not putting the effort in to make it as good as it could be.
The principal is great. As long as you "make sure" that your team always scores just a few more points more than your opponents (most teams are dumb enough to send you their scores really promptly each month so you get their scores in plenty of time before you have to send in your scores) you can just keep collecting the badges guys!

For the money TA Printers charge, they could/should act as escrow agents for the monthly scores so that neither team would know the opposition scores until both teams had entered their scores.
