Unhappy Am I just cursed?

Why is it that at shoots where I've done badly -- Bronte, Savile -- the results have been published within days, but at shoots where I've done OK -- Wakefield, Harvesters -- the results never get published?

It's the "good news doesn't sell", syndrome.

Everybody say Ahhhh!

Come on and tell us how you did, and we'll tell you we think you're great.

I must admit I like looking at results sheets for shoots I've performed well at, it really gives me a boost to think, I achieved that.

In fact, when things aren't going great, I have sometimes looked at the results from my competition PB, and think about how I felt and what I did that day. It does help to remind myself of what I can do.

I know that feeling too. I've only done one "away" shoot so far (Cranford Windsor) which was held on 23 July, and STILL the results aren't published on their website.

Club records officers clearly have more important things to attend to....

I was there too, and know what you mean - came 2nd in the Ladies Windsor round - very pleased with my own score, but didn't hear the score of the winner over all the clapping, so don't know how close I was!

I'll be seeing Tim and Chris in a couple of weeks - I'll nag them then if the results aren't out by then!!

LOL! That's exactly the same reason I wanted it too - I came 2nd in the gents Windsor that day, but I've no idea how close I was to 1st (or 3rd, for that matter!)

OK Tim, do well this Sunday, and I PROMISE we will have the results available that evening (and you have the littlest word on that).
Do badly, and there'll be a thread up here as well.

Thanks Quips!

Hmm. Last year I got a third-class score and finished mid-table. This year I got a second-class score and finished second from last. Yup, I'm just cursed!
