National Target Champs - Lilleshall

Wanted to say a huge thanks to Lichfield Archers for helping to run the National Champs at Lilleshall at the weekend. Very well run, even the problems with the targets (pass throughs as usual) were dealt with pretty quickly (although they still got heckled from the lady's line )

Only problem was the weather - I think I've dried out now.... And of course, the sun is shining in the Midlands today - typical!

The weather on Saturday sounds horrendous. I've just been reading Grant Womack's post about it over on AF:

It was - I was in waterproofs and STILL ended up soaked to the skin. It got so bad that I actually had wrinkly fingers (and I'm not old enough to be wrinkled yet).

Score sheets resembled papier mache by lunchtime. I was tempted to get all Blue Petery with ours!

Then loads of people packed up, we came out for the start of the middle distance, had a huge downpour, then the sun shined for the rest of the afternoon (apart from a couple of minor showers).

And it was nice enough on Sunday to allow me to put my cabanon away dry - always a bonus!
