Christmas Cracker- the real story..

Whilst much quality archery was going on at this tournament the real focus was of course the raffle.. Here TJMason demonstrates his 'I'll buy the entire book' technique whilst MorphyMick stands guard over his wine stash. Littlest Furface went for the bingo spread approach but only managed a teddy bear, later to be negotiated with kidnappers for a stuffed aardvark.....

Talking

I may like to add, to all who were'nt actually there, that TJMason, Morphymick and I, were all trying to get the aadvark. Ok, fair enough, I may not have actually won it, but i used my noggin, and i negotiated my way to it. So, in actual fact, I WON!!!!y:

I'd just like to point out that I only (only?) bought seven strips, as opposed to the double figures of family Furface. The rest were left with me by clubmates who had to go early. But the winning tickets were mine! Mine I tell you!!! Bwaaa-haaa-haaa!!!

Never mind your furry earth-pigs, I'm happy with the demon drink!

Angry Read it and weep

Oi! Mason! I'll have you know, that last week, at the JUNIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS no less, I bought 6 strips on the saturday, and won an MP3 player, and on the second day, I bought 1 strip, and walked away with two prizes. It doesn't matter how many tickets you buy! In fact, if you buy 3 strips or less, that just shows that you don't support the club / organisation that's running the raffle! Shame on you, Sir

Well said Helena. I always go out of my way to support the host club.

TJ's just a lucky so-and-so.

I'll put that down as somewhat tongue in cheek...

Olympics 2012: The recurve finals descend into chaos as the Korean team claim they have 341 pink, accusing the Italians of cheating and demanding the return to the table of the bottle of advocaat...

Olympics 2112: The finals descend into anarchy once more after the Americans ask why they're required to wear a leather bag on their leg with pointy things in it in order to collect their tickets and the French ask what a recurve is and what it's relevance to the sport of raffles is.

Hey Helena, have you got any of your aardvark left? All my booze seems to have disappeared...
