Pagoda Review

Just got back from the Richmond Pagoda shoot, what a great place to shoot, bar and food next door, friendly crowd, had Jumile on my target, good shooting Matt , Ruth Mc 2 bosses away, just far enough and of course the effervescent Clicki, missed Flightyrachel but i think i saw you at the back for the raffle? Great day everyone , though i had hoped that 820 would get me a medal, downside, not getting a medal, not winning the raffle, taking nearly an hour to get back to the motorway, 140 miles there ,140 miles back, will i go again, absolutely but next time ill stop of in London the night before

FR and myself were shooting an Albion so we around the other side of the field and nearly on the end to boot.

Agreed the drive home was a nightmare but thanks must go to RRAC for putting on a great event and a definate for next years diary.

Awesome day with a great crowd on our bosses which lead to more than a few giggles.

And the most important event of the day, the discovery of the wonder drink - J.J.

HI George... I did wander over to the Windsor area about 9.30 but Ruth wasn't there yet, and nobody Cornish-looking said hello!

I was VERY near the back at the raffle, as in, outside the door talking! I was in my (tailored) shorts, white vest and my hair isn't a very natural colour, if that helps at all.

Phil, we were certainly at the fun end of the line (no offence Jock!!)

Yes, a great day. Hubby was lucky to be shooting in the shade during the Albion...right on the end, whilst boys and me were at the Windsor in the full sun......great but paying the penalties today.....arms and face aglow. A definite one to add to our shooting calendar.
Pity there was no refreshment at the Windsor pitch, would be my only grumble. But all other ammenities....great, especially the bacon butty and coffee at 9am.

Aha! How did Alex get on? Probabaly won't bump into you much this year - Soph is mainly doing FITA stars and H2H's.. Won't be at Berks as it clashed with Junior Nationals. You coming to the Crowthorne record status Double Nationals on 15th July?

I have downloaded the entry form, and am still in the process of filling all our entries for the year. With me taking up the usual role as char and sarnies person and the shoulder to cry on, on those desperate moments. Have yet to see the results list, but in our opinion he shot well as it was his first big outdoor competition this year and was also shooting up an age group too for the first time, having also just moved up to the U14, he got a commendable score of 680.

Our youngest also shooting (U12 - 10) was shooting longbow and thrashed his small handicap by achieving 61, we were surprised and pleased as punch that he came away with a medal for 2nd place But definitely under no illusions......a long way to go. But at least he's having more fun with the longbow that he ever did with his recurve.

Hope Soph does well, like we know that she can and hopefully catch you somewhere if not just at Crowthorne on the 15 July.
