I shall be there on Saturday - not really sure which hat I have on - with Littlest F, Tiny Trunkles, Ruby, Moosette (I think), Carl, Michael, and Little Longbow. Always willing to have a natter while the little foklk slug it out.

Be nice to the three junior boy longbow archers from Cumbria. They are all from my club and have only recently started longbow and some are unsure if they can even hit the furthest distance. They are going for the crack and the good experience of shooting for the county.

But I am going to be stuck in a meeting with a bunch of university professers who look down at us consultants. I will be lucky if I get to actually see much more then the airport and university.

Be nice to them? They only went and won the boys' longbow! Well done to them.
It was a splendid day out. Perfect archery weather, without a cloud in the sky and only the hint of a breeze. The matches seemed to be shared out among the counties fairly well, and were often quite close. The same is true of the individual results. (Do you get the impression that I didn't make a note of anything - some team manager I turn out to be).
Ruby and Littlest came 1st and 3rd in the B3 girls recurve. One poignant moment came when Moosette started to warm up with Lancashire and had to be forcibly removed to join Yorkshire - she crossed the Pennines this year.
And best wishes to Stever, who was being assessed for his judging level.
The seniors are up there as I write. If they have half as good a day - the juniors will have had twice a good a day as they have.

I think Tiny scored around 930 in the Bristol II - below PB but his second best ever
