Why did you take the good weather away with you??????????

Despite this fact, Yorkshire were reasonably good... with a handful of archers shooting pb's!! The ladies had to carry the men (not an easy feat when you think of the men ), with both ladies recurve & compound teams taking the top spot with yorkshire compound winning overall. Both Amy & Renee won highest score recurve & compound.

Big D, medoc, sarahb007 & myself all shot pb's - Sarah & I shooting MB!!

This only goes to show how exciting it was - I have just received the results of the event, and, it seems, Yorkshire and Cumbria tied on score and hits (remember this is longbow) but my team took it on Golds. Still, a grand tussle, and i hope the three first-timers (out of the four involved) enjoyed themselves.
[Note to self: take a pencil and paper to the presentations next time]

Finally back from Madrid and catching up on the news.
I have just received an email from Josh to say he had come first in the boys longbow group and that they all had a fantastic day. It is not often you see longbows scores tied on points and hits. Congratulations to Yorkshire on winning the boys longbow team event and thankyou to everybody who made my junior boys welcome, they really appreciated it.

As Furface said - One poignant moment came when Moosette started to warm up with Lancashire and had to be forcibly removed to join Yorkshire - she crossed the Pennines this year. But then the Lancashire warm ups are much more fun!!!! (or so Moosette says.) She also tried to get into our team photo but the team wouldn't allow it. Never mind Charlotte we do miss you both in Lancashire and at Rochdale.
