Ncas Agm 2006

The 2006 Annual General Meeting of the Northern Counties Archery Society will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday 18th March 2006 at the Wetherby Adult Training Centre, Audby Lane, off York Road, Wetherby.

(Best to look it up on Streetmap, if you're planning to go.)

I believe anyone affiliated through the NCAS is eligible to attend, but I don't know whether there's a dress code.

I wonder if they're trying to avoid people turning up...

That said, they've solved the problem of having the thing clash with someone's county event... we'll have it clash with EVERYONE'S national event!

Yes and no. It's like your club AGM, in that the usual things are said and done and nothing much happens. Unless it does, in which case it can be very long-reaching in its effects. So you never know.
If you want to go, go. If you don't want to go, don't. But, if you don't go then don't complain that your Region is useless, that it never listens, that it does nothing for ordinary/club/elite archers. If you have a voice to be heard, let it be heard, and I can guarantee you will be listened to.
I think you get my drift!
(PS. Same applies to County/Club/GNAS AGMs)

As with all agm's they can be a bit "dry", with the odd exiting point to debate, and if you have a question for your regional representatives the agm is the time, however if pressed to go to one I would choose my county agm so its YAA for me.

Dunno, I've never been to one. The minutes from the last one are somewhat brief, so perhaps there's less to discuss at a regional AGM than a county one. The NCAS is certainly very active on our behalf, though -- the minutes from the committee meetings show that.

I probably won't be able to get to the NCAS one, but I'll (almost) certainly go to the YAA AGM.

BTW, the letter from the NCAS included the junior rankings from the region. Congratulations to Laura and Littlest Furface on their high rankings!

Tell me about it.. Mrs. Cakemeister has me standing in front of a mirror rehearsing the word "no," followed by comments like, 'once more, from the solar plexus, make eye contact, say it like you mean it..'
