| You'll still have to crap in a cabanon and portaloo! You'd think that Yorkshire, being a fairly large county, and the monies they get from entries and camping charges, would go to the expense of a couple of portaloos!! Bronte can do it and it's a credit to them, but if you are disabled it's a long trek over to the cricket club at Wetherby. A lot of people have stopped going there for that reason. |

| Great day at Wetherby! It started with a bang for me. As I was passing the turn off for Tadcaster on the A1, there was suddenly a ferocious crashing sound and my engine went extremely loud. The exhaust had come loose and was dragging on the road! Oh well, I managed to get to Grange Park, though the residents of Wetherby must have thought there was a tank coming. The AA man managed to patch it up well enough, though. Shooting: I had no sight marks, since I'd been messing around with the bow, so my six practice arrows and first 18 scoring arrows all missed. But when I got on target, things came together pretty well. Before the tourney, I'd decided that 800 was the highest score I could reasonably expect, all things considered, so I was pleased to get 801. Great weather, and a great big swarm of bees at one point. I was getting ready to run like the clappers and jump into the Wharfe, but they buzzed harmlessly by. Good to see all the AIUK folks there. Congratulations to Grant Womack, Littlest Furface, the Savile guys and the Bronte guys on their wins. And anyone else I've missed. But...NO RAFFLE! Grrr, and after all the practice I'd put in.Best wishes to all AIUKers who'll be there tomorrow. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Oh, Tim! Sorry about the car trouble and *YIKES* about the bees. I'm glad you got you arrows sorted and did as well as you expected. Congrats Grant and everyone else!

| Scorching weather, and some quite decent catering, laid on to raise funds for County Squads - including a Black Forest Gateau

| Enjoyable weekend. I shot well, not great, but well enough. Sorted my MB for the season, and only a few points short of another GMB score on Saturday! Next time, I guess. I was at full draw while the bees were going by - not the easiest way to relax! The drive back was one of the quickest I've done - 2 3/4 hours from Wetherby to Abingdon. |
