Not a weekend for great scores I think Alex. As for Shotton, no great scores there either but at least the Lancs team won.

I saw one or two Durham tops but was too busy trying to open a big gap on TJ Mason and Gibbon to come say hello ;-).

How did the three Dave's do in the recurve? I need to have whoever won it this year engrave my name on the trophy...

I managed to finish my first single fita in over 3 years, and was in 3rd place, so I had a very happy weekend.

I started Sunday, without much expectation of finishing, and was knackered about 2 doz in, so retired. Having spent the last few years recovering from a shoulder injury I certainly wasn't going to risk it by being bloody-minded!!!
Spent the rest of Sunday helping out in kitchen and doing the gents running slips...

Well done too to Hypertigger who completed her first double in 3 years...

And thanks to Muriel and hypertigger for putting up with me all day on Saturday! Fantastic shooting companions!!

Shot second class scores both days when I reasonably expected to shoot first class, so not great on the shooting side.

Shirt berated my minimal stabiliser setup, and directed me to Avalon who very kindly half-sold me a 35" Beiter rod (half-sold, cos I still owe her half the money for it). Interesting to shoot with -- it actually stabilised the bow instead of just counter-balancing it.

Ah, but what you really want to know is -- how did I get on in the raffle??? No photo for you, since the bottle of ancient but surprisingly drinkable riesling has mysteriously emptied and the packet of toffee bon-bons has been handed to someone else. Two prizes after blobbing on the last two raffles -- back in business!

After getting stabbed by an arrow being pulled on saturday, i decided to have a great day yesterday and went clay pigeon shooting instead, its different cos the wind blows the target and not the gun:-)

i think everyone who finished this weekend, deserves congratulations - it was a tough weekend, long days and neil obviously didn't sacrifice enough novices, committee members etc for the lovely weather we had to struggle against.

avalon shot fantastically; don't let her forget it!!

did anyone else find that their bow felt several pounds heavier on sunday? i did, and it was so much hard work!!!

Little Miss Purple, how many buttons were there? avalon had to take me to leeds station to catch my train so we couldn't stay for the presentation.
