Try the local tourist board, I did that a few years ago "for the same shoot"
and they came up with some decent B&Bs, there should be plenty of options with 30mins of Walker field.

This year I set off at 6:15am from Cumbria, picking up two other lady recurve archers on the way

Cumbria finally has a full ladies team this year ...... don't worry we will probabally still come in fifth place, but we aer going to enjoy the shoot and try for a PB, six gold end, 1st Class and Bowman scores

Don't worry about coming fifth or first Sandra - we're all going there to shoot well and see what happens. Personally, my shooting's rubbish, so no competition from me for the Gents recurve teams

Nooo, I'm going up to see my best friend who is about to finish uni (finally!!). Her end-of-year exhibition is this weekend, so she bought me a train ticket so I could celebrate with her. I haven't seen her since September, so it'll be an emotional reunion.

And as I'll be less than 2 miles from the venue, I'm popping round to have a peek at the 5 corners shoot on Sunday before I head back to London.

way to go her!!!! I enjoyed uni in Newcastle so much i never got round to leaving. If you stay long enough they eventually pay you to be here.
