Damn right Fox! I never really thought about it before, but having 6" of stretched elastic pointing right into your eyeball is not the most sensible thing to do for entertainmant - I gues the heat must have softened the rubber as well. A new tube is going on for Bronte (don't have time to get a new peep sighted in), then a decent peep will be fitted - the string has had time to settle down, so it should stay put this time.

Just mark the string inline with where the centre hole of the peep is, bin the old peep and put in a new one in the smae place, your marks will be the same and you only get one of each eye to loose, just ask Maya Marcen! Getting it to spin right is so easy i dont know why people have such need for elastic eye gougers. If you want me to show you how/do it for you, just let me know.

Thanks Fox - Yeah - You're right it needs doing so I may as well bite the bullet - it scared the hell out of me. I do have a spare peep and can get it fitted with care this week. If it does go in a bit out of line I can use Saturday at Bronte to recalibrate it - I am going just for fun anyway. Catch you there.

Cheers
Max

When i say mark the string, i mean for height, not strand separation, then just slide the old peep up, stick the new one in underneath and slide it up to the mark you made(or measure from the nocking point)then take the old one out, push the knots back together and then move strands around the peep(equal numbers remember) until the peep is straight when its at full draw. If your nocked arrow affects it, your nocks are too tight.

Not yet, I imagine that Andrew Neal will be kind enough to email them to us when they're ready
