That surprises me. Last year I went to a few that were recommended, but this year went through the calendar from the beginning of the season trying to fit in what I could. I was under the impression there were quite a few but not having been around that long wouldn't know if any were missing.
Are they permanent losses ? Just wondered as we've just been told of a revival of SCAA interclub, which apparently had previously been shelved.

I realize that people may be away on holiday, or queuing at airports, but as they were oversubscribed last year, it is a bit of a turnaround.

Folks,

Had a word with Meta and Les over the weekend. Both were extremely upset to have cancelled the event but it basically came down to numbers. With so few signing up for the event, the event would have lost the club money. We are a small club and one source of income is these events so we are hit doubly hard by this. The event has run for 25 year, so its sad that the run has come to an end.

One reason given for low sign-up was confusion over "on-line" applications for the event. The application form has been on the website for months, yet this seems to have put some archers off. Has anyone else had experience of this? We did the same for the Double 720 earlier this year and had no issues.

The event may be run next year if we can find a way of getting suitable numbers.

Thanks,

Sponge.

I've not heard that this was one problem. I was suprised at the low take up as there is nothing else on 'locally'. Hopefully some of those that were going to stay away post on the site and will give their reasons? For what it's worth I was told that the shoot is often over subscribed so I booked up months ago - April/May I think
