Grant,

David Heath won the R/C with 589, Neil C. ran out of time on one end and only scored two arrows, may have put him off for the rest of the round, but he still came out top in the a.m. session.

Steven Dixon won compound (can't remember score).....must start making a list of winners & scores.

One of the junior ladies claimed a new national record (compound I think).

Nice to see some quick results.

What I HATE, however, is this:
Quote:
60 583 42
It's not actually POSSIBLE to get 583 with only 42 golds, so how the hell has it gone on the results sheet? I see this from so many competitions and wonder why it's got through...

I scored 520 and managed to miss completely with 1 arrow!!! My next step in training is to have people talking to me on the line and have them walk off the line when I'm at full draw!!! Womble scored 504 - I don't know what many other scores were as we went off to the pub for the afternoon - I tried and tried to get Lez to let me have a purple Aardvark fleece!!

ps - I shall post the raffle prizes when I get home - I managed to win one, the other will be for a spot prize at the christmas cracker.......

Well spotted Shirt, especially as Lynne's claiming a national record.
Hopefully it's a typo....must check record on GNAS.

Ladies U/C record, Portsmouth, 582. Looks like she's dipped-out. (Unless it should be 43 Golds).

Doesn't really matter - she holds the record for 582 also. I was there when she shot it! Double portsmouth last year - she shot brilliantly the first half then ended up coming second from a low score in the second half...

Nice to know that Lynne already holds the record, GNAS don't give details, only scores.

Still, you would have thought she would have realised that 42 golds only gets her 582, unless the 42 is a typo.

The addition of the score was completely rechecked (i.e. every arrow added up) by two separate people on the day of the competition so there was no question of the score of 583 being wrong, and you'll be pleased to know that it is correct.

Unfortunately the golds have been mis-counted, this appears to be because a badly formed 10 was crossed out by a judge and replaced by 10 written in red, this red 10 then appears not to have been counted towards the gold tally, and for that dozen 7 golds where recorded by the target captain instead of 8.

So the final correct score is 60 hits, 583 scored and 43 golds (revised results are on the website) http://www.thewakefieldarchers.co.uk...%20Results.pdf.

Thanks to Shirt for spotting it and to morphymick for bringing it to my attention.

Bizarrly if you look at Lynne's results in the Double Portsmouth that grantwomack mentions you'll see that exactly the same error was made 60 582 41 (an impossible combination) http://www.thewakefieldarchers.co.uk...n%20Indoor.pdf
