Just looked at the target list and it would appear that I'm shooting a Maple 1. Errm no, I know I'm not on particularly good form at the moment but I should be shooting a Canadian they seem to have me in the Juniors section.

I'll have to give someone a call tomorrow.

Day 1 of the Bronte Spring Weekend, and a good turnout. Despite the wind...



The bits of blue sky tell one story - the treetops tell another.

I was shooting with Quips, Little Longbow's dad and Dark Horse. Except Dark Horse had a trouser crisis and decided to go field partying instead. Sterling job he did too with Deadeye Doc and others.

It all went really well. The scores were knocked down by the wind, but everyone enjoyed being back shooting target outdoors. Worst white went to an unexpected recipient - David Nordoff, Yorkshire indoor champion and third gents recurver on the day.

Congrats to the winners and losers. My own score for the York was a better-than-expected 725, more than double what I got last year. And of course...



Great work by Uncle Remus and all at Bronte. Bring on the Canadian tomorrow! The weather's turning just in time...

Well thanks to all who came to Rawdon Meadows for the Bronte Spring Bank Holiday Tournaments who helped make it a really successful event. I will post ther esults for the York /Hereford on our website very soon and a link will appear here shortly.
We found a little compact pocket tool (OK I know) near the shooting line on Monday - describe it and PM your address and I will post it to you.
