Not that I know of. However there have been quite a few golfers I would like to introduce to the dangerous end of my very good friend Mr Broadhead, oh and cricketers too.

There are GNAS regulations for archery golf but I've never heard of anyone doing it.

I've heard plenty of comments like "oooh that sounds good, why don't we do that?" though. But it never comes to fruition.

Dearne Valley hold an annual tournament against the High Melton Golf Club every October.

We share the same facilities at Doncaster College, i.e. we have to cross the 1st tee to get to our Field Course.

It was my 1st tourney this year, great fun and if you have never shot flight/clout and you want to know how far your bow will actually shoot, it's a great excuse.

260yds to the pin, no problem. Dog-leg, what dog-leg?

I must say it does sound like fun

So who won? An archer or a golfer?

Archers every time.

6 pairs from each club, four-ball better-ball/arrow, 9 holes.

Ball within 1 club's length of hole is a gimme, archers have to hit a 4" target at ground level, if arrow lands within 1 bow's length of target, retire to 10m. (rule change for this year)

Makes for a great combination of flight, clout, field and target disciplines.

Final score either 5 1/2 - 1/2, or 4 1/2 - 1 1/2.

Archery golf is a part of the annual Green Park archery weekend, I seem to recall (along with field clout and conventional target shooting)... Never done it myself, but it sounds like fun.

Great cartoon, Cecile! It shows that archers have their priorities right -- fresh food is more important than smacking a ball into a hole.

Good to see you back here -- I was wondering where our French friends had gone. :icon_razz
