Finally got (one) target up on the new Inverawe field course, Argyll. Here's the pics...

Thank you Murray. Reduced club membership fees available to (new) members that are willing to commit to a few work parties over the next year. Reduction/waiver of shooting fees for visiting archers willing to give a couple hours work. Everybody else pays the full whack

If you have the foam layers going vertical, which is good for the longer shots, it's a good idea to cover the top. If too much rain gets between the layers, arrows have a greater chance of passing through, especially as the target gets older.

Gee wiz Shel, that's damn close! Now I have to go out and measure it again just to make sure Yeah, plan is to run the foam layers vertical and after hints from other folk I think a "roof" over the bosses will be the way we will go. Just getting started though so plenty of mistakes to be made yet

I've got no idea of distance, I look at it and pluck a number out of the air. Some time I'm right, sometimes I'm close, but most times I'm just lucky

You're within a metre or so I would say. It's on our unmarked course and last time I measured and pegged out that shot it was around 41 mtrs .
