You obviously come from the Gerald Davies school of match watching (In last week's times he said that Wales came away from the England match with nothing but positives and an endorsement for "sexy" rugby, while England gained nothing). If you think a beating by 10 points when Scotland were a man down for 50 minutes is a thrashing, I look forward to seeing your opinions when New Zealand next play East Africa.

I think you may have touched a nerve there, Silver Streak!

Apologies for late night ferretting! My ideal result from the game would have been a mega-dull 3-3 draw. I was beaten up for being English quite frequently at (Welsh) school in the 60s, particularly on 5-nations weekends; I eventually worked for a Scottish organisation, and was (metaphorically) beaten up for being English quite frequently, particularly on 5-nations weekends.

Furface you are right of course, the guy shouldnt have been sent off, and scotland did play very well, in fact I tipped them to win the tourament. But now I`m thinking that when Henson comes back against the irish we might win that one as well and then you never know!!

I wasn't a member of the archery club in Aber during my time there (90-94), and to be honest I thought it had folded during that time, but I'm a bit bemused at your lack of an outdoor range. I seem to recall that there was plenty of room on the sports fields. Are they worried that the poor wittle wugby pwayers might get awwows in their footsies?

Archery club died out for a considerable period, but was resurrected in either academic year 2000/1 or 2001/2 .. it's now a thriving club, over sixty members - of which thirty/forty turn up each week to shoot on a Tuesday. We try to attend BUSA and a couple of other competitions each year, have a 4hr training session for competetive sods each week on Thursday - just lacking a field to shoot in!

EDIT: No idea on the total amount of paid up members, I assume about sixty. Exec would know for sure, but it appears to be growing, always good
