My latest new toy

I couldn't resist showing off my new compound. Got it on friday as a slightly belated Christmas present (partially from myself).

Shoots very nicely indeed and looks nice to boot. I know the longrod isn't the best colour, but I'm working on changing it (possibly getting some wraps done or just replacing the tuners).

Nice bow, keep the longrod, lose the rest, unless you shoot broadheads!

I'm planning on keeping the prongs for shooting allys indoors, but will change to a lizard tongue for outdoors (as far as I know you can't get wide blades for them)..

It has wood on it. I'd say around 6 square inches on either side of the grip. That's plenty for me :P.

Good to see someone here, shooting horsebows!

Here in Hungary, funny people named Kassai fiberglass bows as "Sloth of the Valley" (extreme lack of speed, and different types are named after animals) You need a very long draw to shoot wooden arrows at an acceptable speed. Good side - they are more forgiving and durable compared to other, faster horsebows.

His wood-glass laminated bows work far much better. They are one of the fastest and most accurate horsebow replicas. But they look like parquet. Not so historical...

Congratulations for your bow, Hippo!

CVery nice bow, if you had to go to the darkside, the colour choice I approve of totally!

Bieter do black and green tuners... I know I was looking at them myself.

There is also a limited edition black tuner version available although it doesn't show on the above link.
