What on earth could the elbow waggle hope to achieve?! It was hilarious.

Edit: Thanks for pointing the channel out though, plenty of interesting vids on there.

The women at 4 48 is the second time I have seen someone use that technique. I have even seen a korean archer (on youtube) do that "shake" during the draw.

Looks like the style (ref: the lady shooting at 4:48) was still around in 1999

Great to see some ski-archery even though very little archery on the vid, camera man must have been a x-country skier and not an archer.

Dave how about organising this for next year ??

5 X 2k x-country with 4 shooting phases (some might prefer drinking phases though).

A good point to note from the 1965 footage when they talk about the accuracy at 90m and 70m. This is with wooden bows, aluminium arrows and no stabilisers (and what we would consider to be less than optimal "form").

Makes you think.

Really enjoyed watching that, aside from some of the comical elements. I also noticed 'not a stabilizer or gizzmo in sight. Proves my long time theory in some way, that all the modern hardware stuck out here there and everywhere is a load of spherical objects in a bag! You don't actually need it ,only think you do because everybody else uses it. Bit like sheep isn't it?

That's only my opinion though.

Although this last weekend I shot a double Portsmouth, using my compound field bow with only a 10" stabilizer and pin sight, and beat some compound shooters using the whole kit and caboudle (bits of metal sticking out here, there and everywhere) and using scopes?
