Pagoda Shoot 2008

Just a few shots of today's Pagoda Shoot to give you a flavour...

It started out well

Then the heavens opened

Archers took cover in the Pavilion

Apart from King Custard who was too afraid to venture out

Big Boy Blue, however, was a bit braver

But the rain stopped eventually

Simonm was shooting well

And Wendie Stevens kicked some @$$

Afraid? - more like soaked, cold, 90 points behind the leaders, hemmed in by a 'moat' of approaching water, in serious need of focus, facing utter humiliation in defeat after a god awful start..a pain running from my neck to my armpit....contemplating that i might have to readjust my goal to win the target rather than the tournament...and with only warm thoughts of my Joanna...and my ciggies for comfort....

Afraid? never occured to me!

Shortely after My scope blew over snapping the top clean off. Then I put in a 42 at 80 meaning instead of being head of the leader board I was third.

Sixty was not great the fifty was better.

936 probably fourth.

TALK TO JOCK! poor sod!

20x50 I think & cost £25 I think!.

Good enough for me to pick out my arrows if its on a tripod.........lol.

Just about see enough at 100. But I have very good eyes. May not be as good for glasses wearers etc.(guys at my club won't use it cause they say they can't see anything through it!)

Was looking through the chap from whiteleaf's scope who was on my target, blimey it was awesome I could see the nock damage on my arrows!

Asked him what it was how much etc..............wished I hadn't.

It a a lika(SP?) £1200.............ouch!

Leica. They make some of the best camera, too. But you'll never have to replace it in a lifetime (if you take care of it).
