I thought that it would be the field champs, oh well nice photos anyway!
Well done to Joe and Janet Lloyd for winning the EMAS field champs longbow section.

Daniel, unfortunately we are the last to know about field results as we only get them when we bump into Janet and Joe at the club. I can't even find a mention of it on the EMAS website

You made good use of your "official Photo-pass" then!?

I'll be putting up the official results when I get home later today. Appologies for the delay.

If you'll excuse me for hijacking your thread for a moment, I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate "TEAM GRIMSBY" for becoming EMAS junior recurve team champions, and also congratulate Meggy for a good solid 2nd place in the gents compound confirming his MB for this year.

Now I've finished praising my own team, since this is Watch_Man's thread, a big "WELL DONE" to Archery_Mum too as EMAS lady compound Champion!

Ah! the arrow flying past shot, a good trick of perspective distortion but I must admit we had a laugh when we noticed it.

The AWAC is from nearby RAF Waddington and we had a couple fly over the top as Washingborough seems to be on the take off path and so they came over quite low.

Wonder if we'll get the Battle of Britain flypast at the double fita star at lincoln again this year. (June 28/29 - spaces still available. PM me for more details)

You mean you haven't already booked them I must admit that the way they turned up both days last year AND during the lunch break it looked like it had been planned.

Took my Camera to the Oregon Challenge shoot at Beeston Ryland Archers a few weeks ago. I was a bystander, not involved in the shoot at all.
Field captain came over & declared i couldnt take any photos without permission & none of any juniors. It was on a public sports field as far as i am aware with access to anybody.

Is this normal at tournaments these days?

Yes its normal at all GNAS shoots but if its on public land then you can't be stopped.
