Lincoln Dble FITA Star photo's

I have just posted some photo's of this weekends (28/29 June) EMAS Double FITA Star hosted by Lincoln and Grimsby Archers at Washingborough.

There are about 190 including several of AIUK members. Unfortunately the rain on Sunday afternoon meant the camera had to go away The judges nearly stopped the tournament but from what they said at the end it was the ladies who persuaded them to keep shooting.

Thanks for posting these photos Trev. Good representation of the day.
Shame I couldnt get the results up as fast Later today or maybe tomorrow when we've finished untangling the mess that passes for some people's scoresheets

We can blame the weather for the score sheets but what excuse do the RAF have for turning up late on both days! and this year we only got a Lancaster and Hurricane, it must be the cost of fuel...........

I rang wing-commander Handlebar-Moustache dso dfc mfi dso etc etc and he said "it was down to you dashed blighters, running your tourney far too efficiently. ", that and something about low pressure in the balierics (at least I think thats what he said)
Apparently "old johnny's having trouble getting spares for the old bird" too guffaw, guffaw

Maybe something to do with the fact that the roundels on the old girl come back with short pointy sticks embedded in them? Any unaccounted for arrows?

it was certainly facinating to see 70 archers (over the age of 12) forget their bows and gawp skyward as these classic flying warhorses flew overhead
