Having scanned and colour managed photos for the past four years, I always appreciate when the photographers get it right from the get go. I know I always try to, but Photoshop is a contingency plan. Sometimes, even the best photographers can't always get it right!

If you were using film, there are certain kinds of Fuji film with a fourth emulsion layer that *help* with colour casts. They're not fool proof by any means, but it's just another measure of prevention.

These were taken in digital format - I only tend to use Ilford FP4 (B+W) in my film SLR. I love the way you can use black and white film to simplify shots that would be messy in colour - it really emphasises form.

All this obsessing has made me photography hungry. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow!
