Have either of you tried Guild Wars? There's a Ranger character class (archer, with a wolf or panther sidekick) and the graphics are incredible - right down to the style of recurve or longbow they're using, and best of all, it's non-subscription!

I've tried PC RPGs, but still prefer those that use the most powerful graphics rendering system known to man.....the imagination.

There are few things so immersive as a good GM, and almost none so boring as a poor one.

"As you stand over the form of your dying foe, your knees buckle, your stomach cramps and your head pounds like the war drums of an orc horde. The sounds of the melee around you fade to a distant buzz as you slide slowly to the ground. You awake after what seems to be minutes, but from the smell from your own body and the growth on your chin, you know it's been days or perhaps weeks"

or

"make a constitution check at -10 against poison"

Sounds like a job for Green Archer

... and that's a problem because?

Since time immemorial advertising agencies have used good looking people (granted, mostly women) to advertise their wares - it's never going to stop people associating certain faces with certain products. I'm sure none of you have ever heard of Annelise Hesme, but you'll know the product she advertises the minute you set eyes on her rather gorgeous frame. (cue comment from Rachel here...!)

And like it or like it not, I think we all have to agree that the best looking women are FAR more attractive than the best looking men - ergo, they get noticed, and they sell products.

Nothing will ever change - and the day I see Dawn French advertising something like L'Oreal, I'll eat my Chocolate Orange!

Then I shall find a more woman-friendly sport.

It was this kind of attitude that keeps me from frequenting AT like I used to. I thought the attitudes were better in the UK. Apparently I'm wrong.

Hope you're not mocking my research skills here Andrew? I might offer my services to someone else...

Click, I think you need to organise an AIUK calendar, like the WI did. Just a riser to hide one's modesty...

Certainly, but only lady archers with "gorgeous frames" need apply. You're in Rach.
