that looks really nice

sorry to sound a real noob - how hard / easy is it to do - never having broken an arrow before - are they hollow ( so a refil slips straight inside ) and does it need any sanding to get a flat bottom aprt?

Ahah! you better try with carbon impact Fat shaft XLT 6000 they are perfect fit!

Easton ACE's have the perfect internal dimension over the back 6" or so of shaft for a standard biro refill to be a snug fit that needs no glue at all. There was a period a few years ago when everyone seemed to be sporting these homemade pens, don't know what happened to them all as I've not seen one in ages. I still have mine but don't use it anymore as it doesn't work on Tyvek faces.
