A Large Shoot

I was recently asked by a beginner what a large tournament shoot was like. Here is a photo of the Premier Event at Lilleshall in June.

The Tent and awning was the judges station and was between the two shooting lines.

Perhaps the largest shoot I've been to was Andover and that was amazing! SO many archers all doing the same thing at the same time! The first arrows of each end was just awesome - 120-odd bows all going off within 2 seconds of each other!

Can you put a camper van on the Tent line? Merlin83b's new camper would do nicely and could make cups of tea between ends. We could set the club colour to match it if that heelps.

Sponge.

I shot the World Masters in Melbourne 2002 (badly) but had the best archery week of my life at that tournament.

The Indoor was shot on one day in three flights, and with 400 entrants in total, the shooting line average was over 130 archers, indoor mind you.

The member of our club in the 60+ division has been around archery for over 20 years, and was shooting his indoor bow, a bright pink PSE compound. I saw a distance photo of the shooting line, which I can no longer find, and, boy, can our club member stand out in that photo, on the far end of the line, with that bow.

BTW, nice photo GeoffT. A full shooting line is an impressive sight.

Brian
