Some nice pics!
My personal preference would be for slightly tighter cropping on some of the animal shots, and I think the blurred grass at the front of some of the photo's distracts too much from the main subject, but thats being picky.

one of the boat shots might have been better when the sun was lower in the sky to light underneath the hull - a big black hole

I like the portraits best Jimster. Especially the head and shoulders shot of the monkey.

I think your year assisting at Venture is definitely paying off there.

Portraits are generally my thing. I was shooting sessions at Venture, not assisting.

I've got some pics on Flickr - some of them are just family occassions, but others are me trying a bit harder to be "arty".

Some nice shots in there Neil, nothing wrong with dog pictures (I have a number of cat pictures!).

Only got my Nikon DSLR before Christmas, and I'm still finding new menu options to play with.

The Elise is getting on a bit now, and Cynthia drives it more than me these days I'm lusting after a TVR Sagaris, but I think its waaaaayyy down on the list of likely next purchases unfortunately.boo hoo.

I'm also a scouser by the way, born in Alder Hey Hospital. Dad's from Huyton and Mums from the Wirral.
