Best Carbon Limbs ?

Hi all,

I would like to ask peoples opinions on the best carbon limb. Please exclude Border as an answer as their is no supplier way out here in New Zealand. We can get W&W, Hoyt, Samick. I know someone who has a pair of KG Apex limbs, and he said they are very fast and a brilliant limb. I would like a few opinions on those if anyone has shot them.

Regards,
John

I think you're excluding a fairly significant set of limbs by excluding Border (down Kae!).

There's nothing to stop you ordering them directly from Border, and airmail post is very speedy to New Zealand from the UK.

Thanks Worthipa, I believe from what I've read that they are a very fine limb, but if they crap out on me, it's a long way to send them back. I'm basically looking for a manufacturer that we can get down under.

Cheers,
John

The point I was struggling to make, is that it's a very small world, so why deny yourself.

In the unlikely event that you were to have problems with your Border limbs, their customer service is legendary, (see many posts) and the post to Scotland is as quick as the post to New Zealand.

Go on, you know you want to!

Can you please tell me the order they go in, best down to least. Are these top Border limbs shot internationally, and how will they compare to an Inno limb, or the new Samick Extreme BF, don't worry about the G3's,as we've had two pairs de-laminate at our club in the last year, and we're a small club, with only a handful of recurve archers.

You might find this: (http://www.archery-interchange.com/f...hierarchy.html) link useful in determining the hierarchy. As to whether they are shot internationally, I don't know. Michelle Frangilli used to shoot them before he became a W&W sponsored archer, that being the point of course. Most of the top archers are sponsored and what they shoot is supplied for them, it's not a measure of whether the stuff is any good or not in your particular circumstance. Of course if you're just looking to shoot what top archers shoot, very many shoot G3's which you've already dismissed.

I was going to buy border but found them expensive as it was an extra £35 to change the colour from purple (oh sorry.. amythyst )
I've just ordred Winnex as they are very good value over here at the moment (probably due to the inno), I shoot G3's but as I've decided to go to 70" I thought I'd try W&W as they are meant to smoother (and not purple ).

I'll post in a couple of weeks after I've shot a few FITA's with them
