How much for a Hoyt Axis?

How much should I expect to pay if I were lucky enough to find a right handed one for sale? Has anyone ever tried converting them to ILF? Cheers

Pick a number. The problem is that Ki Sik Lee has moved to the US, and as a result all of the American fanboys have suddenly gotta shoot an Axis. Supply and demand takes over - I currently have three people who have announced that as soon as I get bored with mine they want it.

It seems possible to be able to flog them for up to 90% of what they were retail - I suspect that's just one case, but still... If I could get one for 250GBP (~500 USD) I think I'd be doing well.

Last time I spoke to Graham at Wales Archery, he said that he still had a few in his store room.

I'm pretty sure there is one at their sister company, BowPlus, in Whitchurch.

last time i was in there they had one. black one i think. infact i think one of my club mates traded it in for a helix - and got a very good price for it so yes the demand for them does seem to be there.

Like Tom says - pick a price. I paid under £200 for mine and I know of a few others that have, but £250 seems to be the right ball park. I love mine to bits and will probably die with me...

There were quite a few threads on Archery Talk and Sagittarius about doing that. It involves machining the riser.

Personally I'd advise against. One of the attractions of the Axis for me is the limb locking system. Unfortunately, limb fittings are scarce - I wonder whether we can nag Mr Gtek into producing another batch?

I'd say if you want ILF, get a riser that's already built that way.
