| Which carbon arrows Hi All. I'm looking at getting a set of outdoor arrows in the near future, I'm considering ACC's, Navigators or possibly ACE's I just wanted to know the pro's and con's of each. I guess I'll see a big differance between any of them and my current X7's But is there a great differance between the Carbons above. Thanks in advance. Jeff |

| I heard that the ACC's are more for compound .. not sure about this though.

Arrow lenght is 28 3/4 inches. Nav's would probably be my first choice but was wondering if the extra cost of ace's was worth paying or if the extra cost of nav's over acc's would make a noticable differance. |

| From the easton guide, you want arrows from group T6, or possibly T7. That means a 620 thu 520 ACE @ 6.3 - 6.7 grains per inch or 540 - 610 NAV @ 7.4 grs / inch or 3L-18 - 3-18 ACC @ 7.5 - 7.8 grs / inch So the ACE is significanly lighter. The Nav & ACE are similar, but with the NAV you can use a 90 - 100 gr pile like ACE's, but with the ACC they are more like 60-70 gr like X7's Someone please step in at this point, as I have only shot ACE's for years. Basically with a aluminium arrow, you are trying to shoot a balanced shaft, i.e. Like a Javalin. With a carbon arrow you are more like a hammer, i.e. large weight up front with bit dangling behind

Does this mean that the carbons will be easier or harder to tune? Glad I read the easton charts correctly. I came up with similar sizes/spines as you suggested. Jeff |

| Navs are great. ACE's are better but may wear faster. |

| Sorry to say this but what leval are you shooting at. The reason i ask is Carbon ally arrows are very easy to bend same as ally's but they can't be straightend safely because the bonding of the carbon to the ally breaks. If you are shooting 2nd class or just first class I would recommend going ACC you can buy these one at a time, they are very tunable and you can get a range of different points for them upto 120gr. I used these for about 18mths they are a very good arrow but I did manage to wreck about 7 of them in that time. this did not break the bank though at only about £7 a shaft. You cannot buy ACE's on there own they are sold as a matched set of a doz they are a brilliant arrow and I would not be without mine now, But I am very glad I did'nt buy them a year earlier. Nick
