| Indoor arrows having finished my last outdoor competition on Sunday i am now looking at the indoor season, and suddenly realised tonight (when i drew my current allies off the back of my rest) that i need new arrows for the indoor season... and i was wondering.. If i followed the spine charts i should need 2212's to get within my spine range... however i was wondering if someone with a much vaster amount of knowledge could tell me if i brought 2312 shafts and put 200 grain pro-points in them would that make my arrows act weak enough to still be easy to tune to my set up? My set up: Draw length: litterally *just* under 29 inches Weight on fingers: 44lbs

| Do pro piints have a website? I found one but seems to have limited info as I understand they do loads of different piles. have even heard of a pile that has a screw in feature on the shaft of the pile which allows for a max weight of 350grns?

| I've just been experimenting with this idea myself. I've tried a couple of ways to increase the pile weight. a) I got the shot from a shot gun cartridge. Used the grain scales to even out the shot then fixed it with a little solder. b) Cut a length of solder into little pieces and used the grain scales to weigh the solder and then melted it into the points. The point system for Carbon Hippo's from Alt Services has a couple of grub screws which go into the back of the point to up the weight. I've yet to try mine at the club but a quick try at home would suggest I'm on the right track.

| why not just use the 2212's? surely it wont make that much difference score wise (im assuming your after 2312's for the bigger diameter and hence linecutters.??)

for 3 spots you may get an advantage but on single spot faces the deflections with allys may cancel this out. see your point on replacing them though

| Im going to the vegas shoot in Las Vegas in feb so have booked in for loads of sessions at 18mt fitas. All will be on three spots. I have chose Easton Fatboys for my idoor weapons. Like the size plus they are lighter per inch then my x10's. Always found allies too slow and messes everything up. Need a fast and fat arrow. Hopefully Fatboys will do.

| Yeah.... spent a day shooting at 20yards at a demo/ have ago and i went from 11 shootable ACE's down to 6... (1 robin hood, 2 had cracked carbon and one had a masive gouge in the carbon) two days before i went to Ireland.. that set me back about £200 to get a new set the next day... so i know i will be using allies indoors this year.
