| Rod bushings working loose... Only been shooting a few months and I felt it would soon be time to upgrade my limb poundage (26# atm, 34 on fingers) so I wound in the tiller fully on my GM to up it a little first.
Seems to be shooting sweeter but I've noticed that the top and bottom stab rod bushings (unoccupied) are slowly pushing themselves out. Not noticed any rattling or odd noises and the long rod is staying put ok. I have noticed a tendancy for the bow to 'jump' in my hand on release but I'd put that down to being unused to the slightly higher poundage or maybe just poor form.
There's clearly some unwanted vibrations causing this, but a solution I'm not sure on. The bracing height is within the low end of the range but not fine tuned. Seems to me I either hammer 'em back in after each session or put the tiller back where it was and accept that the GM just doesn't like them set in such a position.
Any thoughts from those wiser then me? |
