Probably a 3L-18......

However, I would recommend that you go to a bowshop with your kit, and ask them to measure you for arrows.
The bow will then be measured at your draw length, which will vary to that written on the limbs.

Before buying expensive arrows however, a stabiliser setup would be recommended (if you going down the olympic recurve route).

Kae.

Spine is measured by arrow length not draw length so I would have said 3-04 but take Kae's advice and go to a bowshop.

IMO As a beginner perhaps consider Aluminium (Jazz or XX75's) at this stage no real benefit to going carbon until you are regulary shooting longer distances and grouping them on the target.

Most of us despite the good weather are gearing up to shoot indoors very soon (but much later if this weather continues)and the Alumimiums will be more durable indoors and cheaper to replace indoors or out.

I would say the same as Whitehart - spend your money on some aluminium arrows for now, especially if shooting indoors over winter and get some carbon arrows after you move back outdoors (though even then you may find that your allys will do for a time).

Either way, go to a shop and get measured properly.

I would agree that there is no real need for carbons indoors, especially for a real beginner.

However, I have shoot a set of A/C/C's for my first year, which I bought second-hand, and have only just changed to a set of triples . It did me no harm in my first indoor season and I was then used to them when it came to the start of the outdoor season.

Just a thought.

If you defiantly want a set of carbons, which is sounds like you do, don’t let anyone change your mind its your money at the end of the day and a good second-hand set off eBay are quite cheep.

Paul

Go and get your self a set of eight Jazz arrows. There is nothing wrong with them. We will be going indoors soon and they are good enough arrows to shoot a 569 Portsmouth round which is my PB with them. By the time you come to go outdoor shooting again next spring you will find that you are looking for a heavier set of limbs any way which would mean new arrows again. So if you get the ACC's now you would be replacing them in the spring and wasting money. Besides you may have been seduced to the dark side by then and require much stiffer arrows.

My advice is go with allies indoors....

a cheap set of arrows such as a set of Jazz or XX75's are perfectly good for indoor shooting as i've seen a 570 Recurve pm shot with Jazz and i've shot a 590 Recurve Pm with XX75's
