Question Indoor/outdoor setup

As it is almost time to go back inside I was wondering what everyone else does with their setup for the winter.

I shoot navigators outdoors but want to go back to my rusty (or is that trusty) xx75’s for indoor. My dilemma is this, I will want to shoot outdoors and indoors during the winter so will need to swap between carbon and ali arrows.

How do you all cope with swapping between the two? I suppose ideally it involves two bows, two buttons, two strings, etc.etc. etc……But as this is out of the question do I just need to spend loads of time changing the set up when moving from inside to outside and visa versa?

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks.

I change from ACE's on a BCY string to ACC's on a Fastflight string but as the spine only changes from 670 to 680 it only requires a slight tweek on the button. Normally once I go indoors I don't need to make any change until I go back outdoors in the Spring. On the rare occassions I shoot outdoors during the winter I merely shoot with my indoor setup and just decide to enjoy it regardless of score.

I have an ARE fully adjustable rest and two buttons. I just add a couple of washers to the ARE, change the angle and swap to my old button.

Only problem is i used my other button to try a stuff button tuning and now i cant find where my indoor buttons spring has gone!

I really like this idea, sounds inexpensive and simple. Do you need to use a different string though as the nocking points must be different?

Personally i use the same string, although the nocking point ends up a little high for my indoor arrows, a little extra clearance with 4" feathers isn't the worst thing ever.

Some people use a thicker string indoors, because they don't need the speed as well.

The only thing I change is my button - I don't tune or fiddle with anything EVER

Easy, I don't

When I did try it for a season, I changed the button and the string (different nocks/nock height for clearance), job done.
