hi my brace hight is just under 9"but that is with 68 limbs the manual says 25" riser with 66" limbs the brace hight should be 8 1/4 - 9"
(this is from my hoyt manual)
why did you not get a manual with your riser?

Interesting topic, just shot today and like most archers I checked my bracing height at set up. LOL 25" Aerotec Riser 36 long Hoyt Vector Limbs 70" total. My bracing height Has always been about 9.25 inches Fastflight string. Today I did a check and found it to be 8.5 inches. Just goes to show you need to check bracing height at most set up stages or am I talking a load of bol--ks. Number of twists = moves bracing height by how much.
My bracing height is taken from inside of handle where the hand sits to string. Dim to be 9.25". Anybody got any further thoughts on the subject.

I have shot my Aerotec with Hoyt 66" Vetor limbs (an old pair) and optimum brace height was 8.75". I have also tried 68" FX (9.25" Brace) and 68" G3 (9.5" Brace). In all cases the best results came with the brace height set towards the upper end of the recomended range. The stings used were either 18 strand Fastflight with the Vectors, or 16 strand 8125 for the FX and G3.

Indybutts, I'm interested to know why you bought 66'' limbs with a draw length of 29.5''. Was this your choice or was this recommended to you?

I take it to the centre of the button - is this the same? Can handle variations change the measurement?

Sort of. Most risers I've seen have the rearmost button hole above the pivot point of the grip (which is the point to which bracing height is usually measured), but practically speaking it isn't an issue. The BH ranges stated by mfrs are guidelines only, and as everyone has to find the BH which suits them (and isn't likely to be the same as the next person's...), you only need a consistent place to measure from *for your use*. Using someone elses BH is a little like wearing someone elses hat; it might fit, it might not...

Ah - that raises another point! My first riser only had one button hole, my second, two. I did ask the question a while back "what is the purpose of the front hole" (DON'T!) - that aside (but please explain) the point is consistency, regardless of where you measure it?
